Crude oil → degumming → deacidification → decoloration → deodorization → dewaxing → finished oil
1. Degumming: process to eliminate the gum and phosphatide.
2. Deacidification or neutralization: process to purify the oil of these free fatty acids and other impurities.
3. Decoloration or bleaching: process to remove pigments and coloring substances from the oil.
4. Deodorization: process to remove all odorous substances from the oil and gives it a neutral smell and taste.
